About the Club

Founded in 2005, the International Women's Club of Stuttgart e.V. aims to provide a forum for all internationally-minded women in the greater metropolitan Stuttgart area, irrespective of age, race, ethnicity and religion.

Membership is open to all women who have lived in an international environment and who are willing to participate in the life of the club. Our common language is English, although a large percentage of our members speak another language as their native tongue.

The IWCS mission consists of four main pillars:

Community
Each month we hold a club meeting, usually featuring a guest speaker addressing topics ranging from cultural integration to cooking tips. We also hold regularly scheduled monthly evening get-togethers in various restaurants in addition to smaller focus groups.

Integration
From guest speakers on a wide range of topics to the support we offer one another in navigating the local cultural waters, our club makes the transition to living in Stuttgart easier for members.

Charity
Our fundraising and other involvement with our designated charity, Frauen helfen Frauen e.V., gives members something outside of their lives to focus on.

Personal Growth
Many of our members are former professionals who have put their lives on hold for a while during their stay in Stuttgart. With our steering committee and other volunteer positions, the club offers opportunities for involvment that not only look good on a resume but also make members feel good inside.

The IWCS is a non-profit organization and members may not use it for commercial purposes. It has no political or religious involvement.
