Meeting point: Esslingen Dicker Turm
Cost: €8 per person, members and family only

Esslingen Dicker TurmMedieval towns like Esslingen are full of secrets. This is a tour with a difference through the crypts under the rambling streets, normally hidden to the public. You’ll see a water tank below the castle grounds, the city’s historic cellar and Esslingen’s former ossuary (bone house – ew!) under the city archive building.

We will book lunch at nearby restaurant for anyone who wishes to join after the tour.

We will meet at 9:45 for our 10:00 tour start. The nearest station to the meeting point is the Esslingen Hauptbahnhof. Parking can be found next to the Esslingen Burg.

Partners/spouses and children over the age of 14 are welcome to join us (maximum 20 people). Sorry, this tour isn’t suitable for kids under age 14 but families are welcome to join us for lunch afterwards.

If you’d like to come along but you’re disappointed that you can’t bring little ones, why not let them (and Dad!) enjoy the area waterways or the wonderful children’s adventure park “Maille” (between Roßneckar und Wehrneckar an der Maille-/Wehrneckarstraßer) on the Neckar during the tour and we’ll meet up with them afterwards!

The cost of the tour is 8€ per person, paid in advance by electronic transfer (non-refundable). The remainder of the tour costs will be covered by the IWCS. To reserve your spot and receive our bank information, please RSVP to your host, Claire DeVaney, using the form below or via the pending Facebook event.
