What happens when you combine an evening of board games with our broad network of fun-loving IWCS ladies? Nothing less than a fantastic evening!

For 2017, we are pleased to announce our newest focus group, “Game Night,” to be coordinated by members Michelle and Allison Mendel.

This group of board game fanatics will meet quarterly at a member’s house or restaurant of the host’s choosing. This will be a “+1” group, meaning that members are welcome to bring one guest of their choosing along to play (spouse, partner, friend, or other adult family member).

Michelle and Allison have hundreds of games to choose from, but welcome any and all contributions that have been collecting dust on your shelves. If you can explain the rules, we can play it! Current possibilities for our gaming evening include the ever popular “Spiel des Jahres” (Game of the Year) board games, perennial goodies like Euchre and Spades, simple luck-based dice games, and rare finds from around the globe.

An evening might also include games like Settlers of Catan, Settlers of Catan Baden Württemberg, Ticket to Ride, Ticket to Ride Germany, Lost Cities, Stone Age, 7 Wonders, Diamont, Carcassonne, Cacao, King of Tokyo, Isle of Skye, Pandemic, Colt Express, Power Grid, Settler’s Mill, Karuba, No Siesta, Qwixx, Qwinto, and MANY more! Most of these games take between 30 and 45 minutes which leaves time for more than one an evening or just lively chatting over Sekt or coffee.

Our first game night is already scheduled for the evening of Friday the 18th of February so mark your calendars and save the date. An event in the members’ group will be published closer to that time.

If you already know you will be interested in being part of the group, use the contact form below to send Michelle and Allison a quick note to let them know.
