🎉 ACE 2017 ROUND UP 🎉

IMG_7247

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the guests, sponsors and supporters of the 2017 IWCS Annual Charity Event “Black&White Night”!!!

The ACE is our main fundraising activity of the year and accounts for a significant portion of our annual donation to Frauen helfen Frauen eV. Each year the committee makes a huge effort to organise a high quality event that offers a fun evening for everyone.  As always, small contributions from many people meant we were able to meet and exceed our fundraising goals.

Winners were grinners

This year in addition to our usual raffle table piled high with great vouchers, beautiful handmade art and crafts and (of course) wine, we also sourced a mega sponsor for our grand prize.

Congratulations to Callie Cambridge who was the winner of our grand prize from AllgÀu Adventures!

Some final numbers: €1259 worth of general raffle tickets were sold, and €580 was taken in at the AllgĂ€u Adventures Golden Ticket Raffle!

Adding those amounts to ticket sales, photo orders, drink and dessert sales, as well as cash donations, we raised a total of €4,748!!!!

Well done team!

A perfect photo finish

Caroline and Keith at Sunflower Images put in a MASSIVE effort on the evening providing their professional posing and photography skills for our guests. The results have been fantastic with some truly stunning portraits of our guests. Portrait prints will be sent out soon. You can view some images from the evening here (use the password SIACE2017)

Sunflower Imaging provide wedding, maternity, family, holiday, engagement, children and event portraiture. If you’re looking for a trusted partner to capture your precious moments, why not get in touch. Visit them online at their website.

Tell us what you think

This year we were really pleased with the event created by the charity committee, however given the relatively low attendance by club members, we feel as if we might have missed the mark in attracting as many of you as possible. Even if you didn’t attend this year (but especially if you did), we invite you to provide us with valuable feedback using our online survey so that we can create a really inclusive event in coming years.

We hear you loud and clear

We do listen to the feedback you give us! We made a few changes to the 2017 format based on last year’s survey.

Request #1 – More seating
This years’ event was a fully seated affair. Everyone a had a seat on a beautifully decorated table but that doesn’t mean there weren’t plenty of opportunities to mingle. With our professional photo-booth run by Sunflower Images and our raffle table there were loads of reasons to move about and catch up.

Request #2 – Opportunities to get to know other guests
This year we enlisted Quiz Master Nick who hosts a Pub Quiz at the Auld Rogue Pub in Vaihingen to press our ‘smart buttons’ and get us talking among our fellow guests. And what a conversation starter! It was a very fun addition to our evening.

Also new this year – each guest received a goodie bag filled with great swag from our sponsors, giving guests more value for their ticket price.

So many people to thank

We want to especially thank the members of the organising committee and the evening’s volunteers who all had a huge hand in delivering a successful evening. In no particular order, they are:
