ENGLISH-LANGUAGE TOUR OF THE STUTTGART MARKTHALLE

Join us in September for a two-hour guided tour of the famous Stuttgart Markthalle! Everyday goods from all around the world are offered here – the Stuttgarters love their market and come here to shop, to meet up with each other, to gossip or to enjoy the fantastic gastronomy. During this tour we will be doing some tasting and taking a peek into the cellar.
Stuttgart’s indoor market with its modern style, its reinforced concrete beams and its glass ceiling has long been named a protected heritage site. However, the indoor market is as vibrant as never before, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2014.
We will meet on Sporerstraße, in front of the entrance to the store Merz und Benzing. Due to the cramped and uneven passages of the building, this tour is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
The IWCS will be covering the cost of the tour guide. Members are asked to prepay €15 to cover the tastings and a small donation for the Frauenhaus.

Please complete your reservation by transferring your prepayment no later than September 10th. If you have any extenuating circumstances that keep you from getting the funds to us by that date, please speak directly with the host so we don’t assume you are no longer interested.
Prepayments are non-refundable after the payment deadline. Members who have to cancel at the last minute are welcome to find another member or guest to send in their place.
