Come join us on May 3rd to learn more about the spring festival celebrated in Japan known as Children’s Day.

This takes place on the last day of Golden Week, the longest break in the Japanese working calendar, when businesses usually close for up to 9–10 days. Landscapes across Japan are decorated with koinobori (carp streamers) from April to early May to wish children a good future and that they will grow up healthy and strong.

We will also be making and eating traditional snacks for this event, as well as our own carp streamers and learning a few Japanese phrases along the way.

This event is for members only and is fully sponsored by the club. To RSVP, please use the pending Facebook event in the members’ group, or use the contact form below if you are not on Facebook.
