2015 HOLIDAY DINNER AND GIFT EXCHANGE (MEMBERS ONLY)

IWCS Holiday Dinner and Gift Exchange (for members only)
Tuesday the 8th of December from 18:30
Location: Alte Kanzlei, Schillerplatz 5, 70173 Stuttgart

IMG_4956Join us in December for our annual Holiday dinner and gift exchange!

We will start out our evening with a complimentary welcome drink and appetizer, followed by a delicious buffet dinner.

After dining, you are welcome to take part in our optional gift exchange, which is loads of fun every year. If you would like to participate, please bring a wrapped gift worth €15 (no gag or re-gifts please). Choose something you yourself would be happy to receive because with this exchange, that could very well happen!

Additionally, Sandra Bartsch will be on hand to collect presents for our Virtual Giving Tree for the women at the Frauenhaus (more details on that to follow later!)

PRICE & MENU DETAILS
Final price per person to be determined, paid in advance (does not include drinks). The 2014 price was 33 euros pp.
Specific choices for the buffet menu are pending but will include:

  • Welcome drink (Sekt or juice, sponsored by the club)
  • Bruschetta appetizer (sponsored by the club)
  • Bread and butter
  • Soup
  • Main course buffet, including warm and cold meat, veggie, and fish dishes
  • Dessert
  • Bottled water (sponsored by the club)

TO RESERVE YOUR PLACE
We will have space for up to 40 guests.

Pre-payment is required via bank transfer no later than the 2nd of December to reserve your spot. Bank details will be posted as soon as the final price is agreed upon with the restaurant.

If you have to cancel at the last minute, your meal must still be paid for, so unfortunately pre-payments are non-refundable (you are welcome to find another member to take your place).

We will start out our evening with a complimentary welcome drink and appetizer, followed by a delicious Ratskeller dinner (see the choices below).
After dining, you are welcome to take part in our optional gift exchange, which is loads of fun every year. If you would like to participate, please bring a wrapped gift worth €15 (no gag or re-gifts please). Choose something you yourself would be happy to receive because with this exchange, that could very well happen!
Here are the menu choices for this year. Prices include a choice of soup, main course and dessert. Drinks are not included. Please let us know your choices when you RSVP for the event.
Main course choices (and total price of all three courses together):
1. Ricotta Spinach Ravioli (€21,20)
2. Filet of Sea Bream with vegetables anti-pasti style (€30,80)
3. “Fitnessteller” with strips of grilled turkey (€25,20)
4. “Schwabenteller” – two medaillons of pork in mushroom cream sauce with typical Swabian accompaniments. (€27,80)
5. Beef steak with pepper sauce with potato wedges and cole slaw (€30,20)
6. Leg and breast of goose accompanied by roast apple, red cabbage and potato dumpling (€35,10)
7. Roast duck with apple red cabbage and potato dumplings (€29,20)
Soup choices:
1. Truffled potato soup with strips of smoked salmon and sprigs of dillweed
2. Pumpkin cream soup with hints of passionfruit
Dessert choices:
1. Lebkuchen Parfait with cinnamon plums
2. Warm chocolate soufflé with cassis figs and walnut ice-cream
3. Apple rings fried in beer batter on apricot sauce with bourbon vanilla ice-cream

Billie Schoeler and Dorothee Klein have been working very hard to arrange a special IWCS Holiday Dinner for us once again this December. Here are all the details; we hope you can join us!
