OPEN EVENT – Tour of the Baden-Württemberg Landtag (Parliament)

Open to members and prospective members
Tuesday, April 4th at 10:15
Location: Landtag, Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 3, 70173 Stuttgart
Nearest stations: Charlottenplatz or Schlossplatz
Pre-payment deadline: Friday, March 31st
Maximum 21 participants

Like politics and power? Interested in peeking behind the scenes where state laws are debated and passed?

We are pleased to invite all current and prospective members to an English-language tour of the Landtag (Parliament) building in downtown Stuttgart. This event will take the place of our monthly welcome coffee in April.

We will meet in front of the main doors (opposite the three flag poles) at 10:15. The tour starts promptly at 10:30 and should end by 11:45. More details about the location and what the tour will cover will be added to this post as we receive them.

We are asking for a donation of €5 per person in support of Frauen helfen Frauen e.V. to be paid in advance to reserve your spot. To take part in this tour, please RSVP in the public Facebook event or message Emily using the email address on our “Contact Us” page if you aren’t on Facebook.

To confirm your reservation, please transfer your donation to the IWCS bank account no later than March 31st (details to be given to non-members as they RSVP). Donations are non-refundable after the payment deadline.

Please join us for a fun and FREE tour of the Stuttgart city center (in English) with our good friend from Stuttgart Marketing, Petra Rentschler.

For those of you who have done Petra’s tours in the past, you know that each time she shares new places and hilarious stories with us. So even if you’ve been on her tour before, don’t hesitate to come again! This tour is wheelchair and stroller friendly.

New, current, and prospective members are all welcome to attend – this event will take the place of our monthly Welcome Coffee.

Please join us for a fun and FREE tour of the city center (in English) with our good friend from Stuttgart Marketing, Petra Rentschler.

For those of you who have done Petra’s tours in the past, you know that each time she shares new places and hilarious stories with us. So even if you’ve been on her tour before, don’t hesitate to come again! New, current, and prospective members are all welcome to attend. Stroller-friendly.

Current Covid-19 rules for the tour allow a maximum of 25 participants, all of whom must show either proof of full vaccination/recovery OR a negative test less than 24 hours old. Please bring your masks as we are required to wear them during the walk. These rules can change at any time, so please keep an eye on this event for updates.

OPEN EVENT: GHOST WALK THROUGH STUTTGART

Location: Downtown Stuttgart

Open to current and prospective members
Maximum 20 people

Because it’s the month of Hallowe’en, we will be taking a fun and spooky “Ghostwalk” through downtown Stuttgart and learn a bit more about the darker side of the city’s history.

This English-language walking tour is being held in lieu of our regular monthly dinner in October. Prospective members interested in learning more about the city and our club are welcome to join us for the tour – just follow the RSVP instructions below!

This entire event will take place outside, so please dress warmly and bring a rain hat or umbrella if necessary – the tour will still take place in all weather! Although our guide will not being wearing a mask (so that we can hear her), we are asking all participants to wear one during the tour for safety.

The cost of this event is €5 per member or prospective member, paid in advance via bank transfer. 

To reserve your spot, please RSVP using the form below or respond in the Facebook event. To confirm your reservation, please transfer your participation fees to the IWCS bank account no later than Monday the 12th of October. If you have any extenuating circumstances that keep you from getting the funds to us by that date, please speak directly with the host so we don’t assume you are no longer interested.

Prepayments are non-refundable after the payment deadline. Participants who have to cancel at the last minute are welcome to find another member or guest to send in their place.

OPEN EVENT – Tour of the Baden-Württemberg Landtag (Parliament)

Meeting point: main door of the Landtag building opposite the three flagpoles

If a daytime event suits your schedule, our amazing Activities Team has planned something special for our members and guests in March.

We’ve booked an English-language tour of the Landtag (Parliament) building in downtown Stuttgart, and have decided to make this event open to prospective members too!

The tour will cover the entrance hall, the newly-built Citizen and Media Center, and the Debating Chamber. Additionally, we will get an introduction to the political system of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The Parliament will not be in session that day.

We will meet in front of the main doors (opposite the three flag poles) at 11:00 and the tour starts promptly at 11:15 and should end by 12:30. The location is stroller and disability friendly and lunch afterwards is a possibility.

We are asking for a donation of €5 per person in support of Frauen helfen Frauen e.V. to be paid in advance to reserve your spot. To take part in this tour, please RSVP in the pending event on our Facebook Fan Page or use the contact form below if you aren’t on Facebook. To confirm your reservation, please transfer the your donation(s) to the IWCS bank account no later than March 20th. Donations are non-refundable after the payment deadline.
